THE HOTEL - An established 4 star hotel in York city centre, privately owned with 36 bedrooms, two restaurants and three function rooms. THE ROLE - An experienced hotel Receptionist is required. The hours are a mixture of early shifts (7am - 3pm) and late shifts (3pm - 11pm). Duties include answering the switchboard, taking reservations, checking guests in and out of the hotel, handling the administration of function accounts and handling cash and other payment methods. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT - An excellent approach to guest care is essential for this role, as is a smart personal appearance and a natural smile! THE HOTEL - A busy, branded hotel in York city centre with a large volume of bedrooms and a strong conference business THE ROLE - This role is totally operational and will be an excellent next step for an experienced and ambitious hotel professional. Overseeing the day to day operation of the hotel, involvement will be required on Reception, in F&B and conferencing. As a Duty Manager you will spend most of your time on the floor, handling guest enquiries and supporting Heads of Department. This is an excellent development role with loads of opportunities for progression within this expanding hotel group.
